Mini-courses are open to anyone, regardless of where you live, but times are all California PST time zone.
Present Your Best Self - Spring 2021
In this mini-course, adults learn and practice techniques for effective presentation, learning strategies for clear speech writing and engaging oral delivery. In four 90-minute sessions, we help you improve your self-confidence so that you can feel like you can be yourself and speak authentically and from the heart. Through interactive practice and feedback, we help you own your style, finding the look and voice that fits your identity and personality. This mini-course is good for all experience levels.
This course is $50. We meet on Wednesdays for 90 minutes for three weeks (total of 3 sessions). Sessions take place from 5:30pm-7pm PST on February 24th, March 3rd, and March 10th, 2021. Registration is first come, first served, until we sell out — class will be capped at 12 people. Debate for Adults - Spring 2021
If you've ever wished that you learned to debate back in school, this mini-course is for you! In four 90-minute sessions, you learn the basics of how to construct an argument, speak on the spot, and persuade your audience. This gentle introduction is good for people who want to feel confident defending their opinions, while also encouraging productive dialogue. In the course, we practice on silly and significant debate topics, receiving feedback to become a more persuasive speaker.
This course is $50. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for four 90 minute sessions on Tuesday, March 16th, Thursday, March 18th, Tuesday, March 23rd, and March 25th, 2021. Sessions take place from 5:30pm to 7pm PST via Zoom. Class will be capped at 16 people.
