Student Stress – Youth Aloud Podcast Episode 9

Students are no strangers to stress and burnout. It’s hard to find the energy and willpower to do everything we should, especially when we aren’t doing what we love and are stretched too thin. This episode features high school and college student interviews and stories about how they cope with stress and figure out how to keep going, even when feeling helpless.

“[My definition of burnout is] wanting to quit school, straight up wanting to quit school! Just kinda feeling helpless, and having no motivation to do anything at all and just being super tired, like physically and mentally just exhausted.”

Often we feel alone in trying to cope with stress and burnout. In this episode we hear how stress manifests differently for each person and yet, see that this is not an individual problem – we all deal with this at some point! Students share the unhealthy ways they’ve tried to deal with the stress in their lives, as well as more useful strategies for decreasing anxiety, stress and burnout. Everyone is sure to relate!
