Civic Leaders Academy: Young Speakers (Rising 9th–12th Grade)

Take your leadership to the next level and use your voice for change! The Civic Leaders Academy: Teen Speakers Program is designed for high school students ready to dive into real-world issues, sharpen their communication skills, and grow as changemakers. In small teams led by volunteer mentors, you’ll research a topic you care about, discuss different perspectives, and record a podcast to share your insights. You’ll also build your professional profile with a resume, bio, and interview practice, and take part in a public community panel. This is a space for emerging leaders of all experience levels—whether you’re just getting started or already speaking out. Open to all students with priority for Richmond residents.

Notification of acceptance will be sent on September 26th.
